This policy describes how Emnet Bridge ("we", "us") collects, uses, protects, and shares information when you use the Emnet mobile application. Emnet connects you with churches you choose to follow: their announcements, readings, sermons, services, and giving.
1. Information we collect and access
- Account information: your name, email address, and password, or the profile shared by your chosen sign-in provider (see Google user data below, or Sign in with Apple).
- Profile details you add: a photo and phone number, if you choose to provide them.
- Church relationships: the churches you follow, membership requests, service and booking requests, and content you post such as comments and Amen reactions.
- Giving records: the amount, currency, fund, and receiving church of each gift, plus receipts and statements. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe; full card numbers never touch our servers.
- Device data: a push-notification token for your device and your app settings (language, theme). If you use the "near me" church search, your approximate location is used at that moment to sort results; it is not stored.
2. Google user data
If you sign in with Google, we access only your basic profile: name, email address, and profile picture. We use it solely to create and authenticate your Emnet account and to display your profile inside the app.
We do not share Google user data with third parties except our authentication processor (Supabase) as needed to operate sign-in. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending, and do not use it to train AI or ML models.
Emnet's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use information
To provide the services you ask for: your church feed, daily readings, sermons, live services, notifications you opt into, donation processing with receipts, and annual giving statements for U.S. congregations; and to respond when you contact support.
4. Sharing
- Your church: a church you follow, join, or give to sees your profile basics, membership details, and the gifts you make to that church.
- Processors: Supabase (hosting and authentication), Stripe (payments), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service (notifications), and YouTube (embedded video playback). Each receives only what it needs to provide its service.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect users and the service.
We never sell your personal information.
5. How we protect your data
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Records are isolated per church with database-level row security, and administrative access is restricted and permission-controlled.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account inside the app (Profile → Delete account), which removes your sign-in and anonymizes your personal data; donation records are retained in anonymized or legally required form for financial compliance. You can also export a copy of your data from inside the app, or write to us at support@emnetbridge.com to exercise these rights. Requests are honored within 30 days.
7. Children
Emnet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information without a parent or guardian.
8. Changes
We keep this policy current. If our data practices change materially, we will notify you in the app or on this page before the change takes effect.
